Having the right cover for your home is so important. If you do not have sufficient cover and need to make a claim your insurer will say you are under insured. This often results in the insurance company paying out a lot less than you were covered for let alone how much you need to get your home back to how it was.

When your own your home it is a requirement to have buildings insurance and when you purchase a property the buildings insurance needs to be in place for you to be able to exchange contracts.
